Cauliflower ceviche recipe

On the hottest summer days, this is the dish to make because it requires zero cooking. A quick marinade of lemon juice, seaweed and fresh vegetables sets up a flavorful, no-fuss ceviche that tastes like the sea despite having no seafood in it. Store-bought minced or “riced” cauliflower won’t work for this dish. You have to start by grating or mincing a fresh whole head of cauliflower — that extra step will be more than worth the work it requires. ¡Buen provecho!Yield: 4 servingsTotal time: 45 minutesIngredients1 small cauliflower (2 pounds), leaves removed1 serrano chile, seeded and minced1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (from 3 large lemons), plus lemon wedges for serving1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil2 teaspoons minced nori sheets, nori flakes or granulated kelp1 teaspoon wakame, minced or crushed (optional)1 teaspoon liquid aminos or soy sauce1 teaspoon hot sauce, plus more for servingCoarse sea salt and black pepper2 ripe medium Hass avocados, pitted, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch dice1 ...

Spirits are high among the International Brotherhood of the Teamsters as negotiations with shipping giant UPS stay frozen ahead of a July 31 contract negotiation deadline, The Hill found in a range of interviews. If the Teamsters strike, some 340,000 drivers, warehouse workers and other employees could walk off the job in one of the largest labor actions in U.S. history. The potential strike is part of surging labor activity in the U.S. and around the world as a result of elevated inflation, which central banks have been attempting to fend off by raising interest rates in an attempt to take the wind out of the labor market. In the interim, companies have been raking in record profits during the recovery from the pandemic, changing the distribution of value in the economy from labor payments to returns on investment.Teamsters president Sean O’Brien told The Hill that the economic model must change, and UPS needs to start forking over more of its profits to improve the working conditions...

Get Tori Amos to the Greek (On One Leg): You have to hand it to Tori — she recently broke her leg on this tour but has soldiered on wearing a cast. For an artist who spends a lot of time hitting those piano pedals, that’s not a small feat for her feet. Crazy popular — second only to BBQ chips — sour cream and onion are an addictive nibble. If they’re made right.Infusing a chip with those flavors is a tricky process involving more science than cookery. Finding just the right blend requires a great palate — and precision. Some brands lean so hard on buttermilk powder that it buries the flavor of the potato. Others add so little onion or sour cream that the result is bland and underwhelming. The best sour cream and onion chips are crispy rounds that balance p...
