TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) -- Pedernales Fire Crews say an 8,000-square foot garage in western Travis County is a "total loss" after an overnight fire. It's in the 800 block of Angel Light Drive, which is east of Briarcliff along the Colorado River. The fire department said on Twitter that there was no damage to the adjacent home or property. The cause is still under investigation. The department told KXAN there were reports of several vehicles inside the garage, but no one was reported to be inside. The fire was contained to the garage. The department asked everyone in a tweet at 4:46 a.m. to avoid the area for safety and let crews finish their work. Englewood police and “mental health responders” conducting a welfare check on a 73-year-old man in metro Denver last week arrested and jailed him because they found evidence of child pornography in plain view, the police said in a media release statement.The Englewood Police Department issued the statement Wednesday saying they have arrested and jailed Homer Daniel Lewis, of 1401 East Girard Place, as a suspect.Lewis was arrested and jailed March 2 on suspicion of Sexual Exploitation of a Child after officers and mental health responders contacted him and entered his residence, the statement said.On March 3, detectives with a search warrant went to the residence and located additional evidence, according to the police department statement.Lewis was released on a personal recognizance bond by an Arapahoe County court, police said. Authorities say 12 people have been found dead so far following the historic storms that buried the San Bernardino Mountains under several feet of snow, covering homes and paralyzing travel.“So far, we can only confirm (one), a traffic accident, as weather-related,” San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Mara Rodriguez said Wednesday. “The preliminary information in the other deaths does not indicate they are weather-related, but those investigations are ongoing.”“There’s going to be a lot more,” said Megan Vazquez, a volunteer.
