Twins’ home opener at Target Field postponed until Friday

MIAMI — Twins fans will have to wait one extra day to see the team play at Target Field after weather concerns forced the postponement of Thursday’s scheduled home opener.The Twins cited a forecast which “calls for snow and cold temperatures Wednesday night into Thursday morning” as the reason for pushing the opener back a day to Friday, which had been a scheduled off day.The opener against the 2022 World Series champion Houston Astros will now take place on Friday at 3:10 p.m. with all of the other scheduled festivities now planned for Friday, which is forecasted to be in the low 50s and mostly sunny.All fans with tickets to Thursday’s game can use them for admission on Friday, and tickets still remain for the home opener at Target Field. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Jose Guevara Bonilla, 27 of Albany has been sentenced to five to fifteen years in state prison on April 4. The indictment alleges that on October 24, Guevara Bonilla was driving drunk on Third Avenue where he recklessly caused the death of pedestrian Larry Cunningham. Albany County District Attorney reports that on January 26, Guevara Bonilla pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated vehicular homicide, one count of manslaughter in the second degree, one count of assault in the second degree, and one count of leaving the scene of an incident without reporting.In addition to Guevara Bonilla's prison sentence, his license will be revoked as a condition of his plea. ST. LOUIS -- Webster University and University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis have agreed to create a pipeline program. It allows Webster students in biological sciences to complete their bachelor of science undergraduate degree while simultaneously starting the doctor of pharmacy degree.This reduces the degree time by one year and potentially saves students both time and money.UHSP will interview three Webster students per year for the opportunity.In order to be accepted, students must have completed specific courses at Webster University that are prerequisites for UHSP’s Doctor of Pharmacy program.
