ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — Update, 9:50 p.m. The Arapahoe County Board of Commissioners voted down the proposed moratorium. The vote was 3-2 in opposition.Original: On Tuesday, the Arapahoe County Board of Commissioners will continue a public hearing to approve or deny a moratorium for up to six months on accepting any applications for a "Use by Special Review" for an oil and gas facility. The hearing has been continued from March 28 after the board cut off public comment after about two hours. Since Colorado Senate Bill 181 was passed in 2019, additional authority has been given to each county government to enhance oil and gas regulations. Dash camera footage exclusively obtained by 7News shows a state trooper conducting a PIT maneuver stop after an impaired driver refused to stop.A PIT maneuver (short for precision immobilization technique) is when law enforcement uses their own car to stop another car. “Hey! Stop! Put the car in park!” said a Florida Highway Patrol trooper. Kevin Palmamolina and a passenger were met by several Florida Highway Patrol troopers, who were on and around the MacArthur Causeway in March assisting during spring break, following an emergency declaration in Miami Beach due to violent crime.“He’s failing to stop,” said the trooper. The video shows the trooper heading eastbound on Interstate 395 past Watson Island, in the causeway’s eastbound lanes, when he attempted to make contact with the driver by pulling next to the vehicle but that didn’t work. “He suspected the driver of that SUV to be impaired,” said FHP Lt. Alex Camacho. The trooper ...MBTA confirms 2 more derailments on Blue and Red lines

That was so much to be able to get past.” Gregory, who lost a leg in the bombing, transformed the pain and trauma of the loss into the driving force of her life.“It goes back to the minute that I was waking up from a medically induced coma, knowing that I shouldn’t even have been alive,” she said. “It was just that moment of gratitude for, not only being here, but for my son being here and I just think that as long as we’re breathing, there is a purpose in that, a bigger purpose.”Gregory shielded her five-year-old son,...Rays hit 4 more homers, beat Red Sox for 11th straight win

Do we really want to get into that brutal Heat performance? The only entertaining part of that loss to Atlanta in the play-in game was Charles Barkley losing a bet to Shaquille O’Neal over who would win.“They’re going to beat the Hawks, come on, the Hawks stink,” Barkley said on TNT before the game. “Bet it, whatever you want to. A billion dollars.”“Ah-haw,” Shaq said, sort-of sounding like a hawk.At half, when Atlanta led 65-50, Barkley said: “Remember last week we had this conversation. I said neither one of these teams is any good. I thought Miami was good enough to beat the Hawks. Still a long way to go, but neither one of these teams is any good.”No one would argue that. After Atlanta 116, Heat 105, Shaq sat on the set holding his pinky finger against his face to represent the billions dollars.Other quotes on the set:2. ”Obviously, Miami played awful,” Barkley said.3. A few minutes earlier, he had gotten up slowly after he slid into the post in attempt to make the save. He stayed in the game for a few minutes but eventually came out.As he did when Charlie McAvoy got dinged up last week, coach Jim Montgomery calmed some fears after the game.“It was just precautionary. He’s going to be fine,” said Montgomery, allowing for a giant exhale across the region. “Just some muscle tightening. That’s all.”Montgomery said the goalie hadn’t been dealing with anything prior to Tuesday night. Did he get a scare when he saw Ullmark leave?“No. Goalies are odd, didn’t you know that?” said Montgomery with a laugh.Ullmark, credited with his 40th win...Latest news
